Our Story

Let me tell you a story, that of our exciting adventure from the creation of our WAX fabric suits in 2018 to our dive into the world of hats in 2020. It all started during a trip to Mexico, in the heart of the COVID-19 pandemic, which lasted two months. This wonderful country, with its rich culture and stunning landscapes, captured my heart.

It was then that the idea germinated in my mind. In October 2020, I made the bold decision to return to the Yucatán region of Mexico to bring a new collection of hats to life. My objective was clear: to create Cordobes hats, these elegant Andalusian headgear with a round and flat crown, with flat and rigid edges.

To realize this vision, I embarked on a journey through small villages, in search of exceptional artisans who could make my dream hats, with their unique shape and fabric, and matching accessories. I was fascinated by the wonderful materials such as leather and feathers, which add a touch of authenticity to each creation.

To bring this collection to life, I had a special machine designed to produce the characteristic shape of the Cordobes hat. It was essential for me to pay homage to my Spanish roots by incorporating this traditional form, which found a special resonance in my heart.

But why did you choose to make these hats in Mexico, you ask me? Well, that's because Mexico is home to the best artisans, with unparalleled craftsmanship. Each hat is made and finished by hand, respecting centuries-old traditions. The hat has a prominent place in Mexican culture, where it is worn by everyone to protect themselves from the sun, although its origin dates back to Spanish immigrants.

Today, my hats come to life in a small factory located in Mérida, Yucatán. Four talented craftsmen work with passion to realize my creations. It is thanks to Martha Zuleima, whom I had the chance to meet during my stay, that my ideas come to life. She is the guardian of our manufacturing secrets, transforming each hat into a unique work of art.
